             The present Hon'ble Prime Minister of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh launched Union Information and Service Centers across the country to bring information services to the doorsteps of the people with the aim of building Digital Bangladesh. All the services available from the service center are as follows:

         Important information services for farmers:

Providing all information related to agriculture through internet.

Providing information services based on life and livelihood of farmers such as: agriculture, health, education, law, human rights, employment etc.

Provision of advisory services to government officials (eg Agriculture, Health, Fisheries, Animal Resources etc.).

Advising farmers on soil, fertilizers, pesticides, fish farming, health, law etc.

Provision of artificial insemination services for livestock including poultry and livestock vaccines.

Important Information Services for Job Aspirants:

1. Searching and collecting job related information through internet browsing.

2. Communicate with the employer through e-mail.

3. Collecting various necessary government forms like: (passport application form, DV lottery etc.) and verifying foreign visa through Internet browsing.

        Important information services for students:

Computer training.

Learning English with the help of the British Council.

Internet browsing opportunities.

Networking through e-mail communication.

Downloading and filling various forms for admission to various schools/colleges for higher education.

Taking digital photos for various purposes.

    Important information services for teachers:

1. Searching various subject-based information sources and collecting necessary information through internet surfing.

2. To get an idea about the activities of other schools, colleges, universities.

3. Protecting communications with other organizations or individuals via e-mail.

4. Collecting all information from Education Board, Ministry of Education and filling various government forms through internet.

5. Access to e-governance services.

         Important information services for NGO workers:

Facilitating communication with other offices of the organization through e-mail.

Collecting various information through internet.

Providing services to search and collect information on career related matters through internet surfing.

Providing computer composing, scanning, printing services.

    Other services of U, D, C:

1. E-mailing.

2. Video conferencing.

3. Viewing pictures and talking with expatriate relatives.

4. Taking digital photos (if needed at your institution or at your place).

5. Computer training.

6. Internet and all technical services head.

Government Services: Various Government Forms, Public Examination Results, Online University Admission, Birth-Death Registration, VGF-VGD List and Citizen Certificate etc.

Livelihood Based Information: Agriculture, Health, Education, Law and Human Rights, Tourism, Non-Agricultural Enterprises etc. These data are provided from the 'National e-Database' (www.infokosh.bangladesh.gov.bd), a livelihood-based database. Apart from online, UISCs also have offline version (CD/DVD) of National e-Database, so that uninterrupted service can be provided even without internet connection.

Business Services: Mobile Banking (Dutch Bangla), Computer Training, Photography, Internet Browsing, Email, Job Information, Compose, Visa Application and Tracking, Video Conferencing at Home and Abroad, Awareness Video Shows, Printing, Scanning, Photocopying, Laminating, Flexiload , making phone calls etc.
