Responsibility of Ansar and VDP

1. He will guard and patrol the Union by day and night.

2. The chairman and the union council will assist in the performance of official duties.

3. In case of any damage or defect in irrigation, notify the Union Parishad without delay.

4. Provide any local information for government work.

Assisting the police force in maintaining law and order. For example:- Selection and appointment of qualified Ansar and VDP in national and local elections, Durga Puja. Sending trainees to departmental training courses to provide various occupation based training as per the merit of the platoon members/members in self-social development. Various occupations including sewing, air conditioner, refrigerator, electrician, basic computer, motor driving, mobile phone service, welding sweater knitting, poultry farming and fisheries. Selection of qualified trainees for training and confirmation of posting to various training centers of the department for training. To assist the upazila administration in various development works of the upazila.
